Technology Learning Center

Service Overview

The Student Technology and Technology Learning Center (TLC) have merged to bring you one-stop IRT solutions for technology training, collaboration, and consultation services. Whether you are teaching, completing an assignment for class, or looking to develop your professional skills, the TLC offers you many ways to learn new technologies or simply brush on up on your skills.

Software Assistance
The STC offers assistance in one-on-one and small group education sessions with a student assistant specialist. General software support is available for Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SacCT (Blackboard), MyeFolio, E-portfolio Creation (Adobe Acrobat Pro), Poster Creation (PowerPoint), and Google Drive and Docs
Technology Training

The Technology Learning Center (TLC) provides technology training resources to empower staff and support the business needs of the campus. We accomplish these goals in three primary ways:

  1. Connecting you to online materials for standard software training
  2. Working with managers to develop and deliver custom technology training services that target specific business needs
  3. Connecting you to open workshop resources.

ATI Instructional Materials
In order to ensure equal access to learning, it is important for you to ensure that course materials are accessible to all students including those with a disability. Schedule an appointment with the Instructional Materials Specialist by contacting the TLC or access self-help resources that include tutorials, guides and manuals listed below. Instructional material services at the TLC include:
  • Support in creation of accessible instructional materials for courses
  • eLearning Materials Support and Consultation
  • Assistance with Captioning Self-Service and Media Projects

Open Workshops
We students to learn technology and software programs that they are required to use in classes and complete coursework. Each workshop is led by knowledgeable student staff who provide both hands on demonstration and one-on-one instruction.
Poster Printing
Learn how to design and format a poster. Learn best practices for preparing your work for print. Free for enrolled Sacramento State students with assignment, syllabus, or note from professor. Faculty Collaborations
The Student Tech Center partners with faculty to support student success overcoming technology related barriers. Using a peer teaching model, the Student Tech Center tutors students in the use of technology so faculty can focus on meeting course learning objectives.
