Installing PrintSmart driver printing for PC

This article provides instructions on installing PrintSmart driver printing. With driver printing, you can print directly from your PC device.
Information Audience 
Current students

Before You Begin

  • You are a current student with an active SacLink account.
  • You are connected to Eduroam.
  • Note that you must the PaperCut application open before you can print.

Installing PaperCut

  1. Connect your device to the eduroam wireless network.
  2. Click the Start menu icon and enter \\irt-papercut\pcclient\win.
    • Note: Though there isn't a typing field, you can just start typing the location and Windows will automatically search for it.
  3. Enter your SacLink username as csus\SacLink Username and password when prompted.
    • For example, csus\herky.
  4. The pcclient\win folder will appear. Then double click the client-local-install.exe installation file.
  5. Click Next and check I accept the agreement and click Next.
  6. Leave the drop-down option on the default, Local Install (For all user), setting and click Next.
  7. Click Install.
  8. When the installer completes, check the Launch client and verify my identity option. Then click Finish.
  9. Enter your SacLink username and password.
  10. Note: You do no need to add the to your username.
  11. Check the Remember my identity option.
  12. If successfully installed, your current balance will be displayed in the upper right hand corner of your screen.

You will now need to install the PaperCut Print Queue.

Installing the PaperCut Print Queue

  1. Click the Start menu icon and enter \\irt-papercut\ in the bottom search field.
  2. Enter your SacLink username as csus\SacLink Username and password when prompted.
    • For example, csus\herky.
  3. Double click the PaperCutCourtesy icon.
  4. The printer driver and queue will be installed on your device.
  5. When you print, you must select PaperCut Courtesy as your printer.
  6. You will be asked to enter your SacLink username and password each time you submit a print job unless you have chosen to remember your information.
